Abelia Edward Goucher

Abelia Edward Goucher is a semi-evergreen shrub prized for its delicate, fragrant tubular flowers that bloom in shades of pink and lavender from summer through fall. This compact, arching variety reaches 4–6 feet tall and wide, making it ideal for borders, hedgerows, and mixed plantings. Its glossy foliage takes on bronze-purple tones in cooler months, adding year-round interest. Highly fragrant blossoms attract pollinators and provide long-lasting color when many other shrubs fade. Plant in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Hardy, low-maintenance, and drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in warm climates and rewards pruning to maintain shape.
